and then lets a student use her phone...come on...dumb kids as they are pass her photos around...and she gets to carry on teaching while they "investigate".

Doesn't say much for the integrity or character of the teacher does it?

Do you think she should be allowed to continue teaching? What an embarrassment to the whole educational system.

If you don't know what I'm talking about the kid in Buffalo who borrowed her phone, snooped into her photos (surprise!) and then passed them all around the school and internet too. They were pretty explicit porno photos too supposedly! I don't know how she could just go back and show her face...but hey she certainly wasn't embarrassed about showing a whole lot more.

I agree that what people do is their own business, but frankly, once I know something like that about someone I just can never look at them in the same way again. Call me whatever....!!! But you're a teacher....and you are darned right that a man would be judged muched harsher...justice is unbalanced in too many circumstances.

First of all, I would have done the same thing as the students did if I were in school still and I saw the pictures. They are kids, which brings me to my next point: WHY did she have nude pictures of HERSELF on HER own phone? A little bit self-centered?

She was embarrassed by this, isn't that enough? Leave it alone!

The stupid kind.

I don't have a problem with her taking nude or pornographic pictures of herself. As long as no one is being harmed, what you do in the privacy of your home is your business and no one else's.

However, to bring these pictures to any workplace - ESPECIALLY a school - is just plain dumb. She should be embarrassed, and she should not be teaching. Not because of taking the pictures, but because of the idiocy and horrible lack of good judgment that she showed in bringing them to school on her phone.

She is SICK!If this happens in any country outside the US ,the teacher involved will be terminated from her service at the same time when an investigation is in progress.Or she'll be too shameful she quits teaching. But this is America.Weird things happen all the time.

Well I am just one of those weird people who think and also demand that ALL our teachers be above board average intelligence and have high moral standards, that seems to be the case less and less these days.I think she should be dismissed from teaching at least for a year.Height of stupidity!
