A mourning dove:
they're so beautiful but in a non-assuming sort of way; humble, almost, and so beautiful. They look common, but take a good look next time: They may not have bright colors, but there's something so noble about that.
They're also free to fly wherever they please...

A cat cause they lay around all day. No one expects anything from them. They don't have to go outside to pee in the rain like dogs. Everything is on their terms. Plus they completely control the people they live with. The only drawback would be bathing yourself-ewww.

A mystical, elegant winged housecat that could photosynthesize and was able to exude waves of peace. (I know this sounds odd, but it's what I'd want to be if I had to *stay* in one form.) Then I'd fly to my love, and live with her as her third cat that not only would be able to instantly be at peace with both of her other 2 cats, I'd also be able to comfort her with my mystical peace-waves. And by photosynthesizing I wouldn't need to eat any food, so I wouldn't put any strain on resources....I'll hush now and let someone else answer. xD

If I were an animal I would be my cat because she is spoiled rotten. I would do exactly what she does, eat, play, poop and sleep.

ID LIKE TO BE A MALE KANGAROO , I THINK !! IN A ZOO PREFERABLY CAUSE THE ZOO KEEPERS WOULD KEEP THE PLACE WARMER IN WINTER FOR ME AND ALSO FEED ME WITHOUT MY COMPETING FOR FOOD OR BEING USED FOR FOOD. IT HAS ITS UPS AND DOWNS THOUGH SINCE I HAVE TO LEAP AROUND TO GET ANYWHERE.
