A bill is on the governor's desk set to ban smoking in all public places in Illinois. How do you feel about this. How will it affect you? Will it stop you from smoking?

There's a very good chance it will happen. It passed easily in illinois house and senate and the governor has already mentioned that he would be behind a bill like this.

Forty-four Illinois communities already have approved restrictions on smoking in public places, according to the American Cancer Society.

I am not in favor of it but then I only quit smoking 4 months ago. Hopefully, the tobacco companies will stop giving money to parties that pull this crap. The amount given nationally to both parties is almost identical. Don't give them any money and watch them cry.

This will eventually happen with high fat food, salt, sugar, meat, you name it. PC world is on its way.

Illinois is probably one of the most corrupt states. Ask anyone living in Crook County. Our govenors last name by the way, means " son of a rich man". "King Richard" in Chicago helps him out plenty also.

Glad I don't live in IL. Here in Erie, PA they just tried passing a city wide band and it was shot down. If they can't pass it in a city, I don"t see how they can pass it state wide. When they ever do, I'll be spending a lot more time at home, where I'm still aloud to smoke.
