yes her skin is used to being in the sac fluid...now its not..its dry ...she will outgrow this..its something normal..its ok to use lotions..better to use unscented ones..but their skin is so sensitive or can be and you can actually cause them to have allergies later in life if you use a lot of heavy perfumed baby wash/lotions etc.

Yes mommy it is normal...and it does not hurt the babi at all she is just peeling imagine she was "under water" for 9 months plus so her skin is now making her protecting barrier. Help her out with some baby lotion it doesn't bother her but as a new mommy im sure it really concerns you to see the baby peeling so put some lotion and that will make you feel much better...never mind the irresistable babi smell ..enjoy your new bundle of joy :o)

Yes this is normal with newborns and you can get doctor's advice on a good baby lotion, but make sure it's baby lotion.
My youngest is six months and my oldest is fifteen. You will also see dryness on the scalp, otherwise referred to as cradle cap.

Don't be alarmed this is just skin replenishment. You still shed your skin, you just don't notice.

But always keep watch on babies appearance as to be sure condition doesn't worsen. If it gets bad see a doctor and have them test for Dermatitis, also known as eczema, this is a skin irritation characterized by red, flaky skin, sometimes with cracks or tiny blisters.

Dermatitis is extremely itchy, but scratching damages the fragile skin and exacerbates the problem so it is important for people with eczema to try to leave the area alone. My six year old had this and it is mild and she has not had a problem with it for about three years now.

Always consider a call to the doctor for
most precise answers. Even if you don't have a doctor you can go to your local heath department for a fraction of the cost.
They have qualified doctor in revolving shifts who, I think , donate time or take lesser pay for the county to help the less fortunate.
Don't panic , you are a good mother for asking, so she is in good hands.

good luck and Congratulations to you.

yes that's normal that means that she is growing. like when a snake grows their skin peels? Kind of like that. It's also the amniotic fluid that was on her skin. So it's pretty normal. She will also get dandruff and it's normal for all babies. but that's another question. lol

Yes it's normal. My son peeled really bad around the same time as your baby. It will eventually stop, I think my son stopped peeling at around 2 months.

yes it is completly normal. none of my kids peeled but they were both early. Generally they peel if they are over due. just get some baby oil or lotion and rub it all over her morning, noon and night. She will stop peeling in no time

Yes, she's just growing really fast. I learned from experience not to mess with my baby's skin -- it's so delicate! Just be patient and the peeling will be over before you know it!

Yes that is very normal so don't worry. To help with it use Eucerine Aquaphor lotion. It is like a vaseline lotion. Works wonders on that and teething rash on the face and bad bottoms.
