I don't care what religion you are, mormon, Catholic, it really doesn't matter, if we NEEDED to come together as a people, do you think that we would still do it? Or would it be everyone for themselves? If you know we needed to?

How about something that every American (with the exception of Bush & Co.) can agree on: "ONE NATION UNDER OUR CONSTITUTION..."

Oh yeah, be more like Sen. Kucinich and CARRY IT ON YOU! It's the LEAST a patriot can do.

Well I will tell you, do you remember the blackout in the mid-west a few years back? If that was a taste on how we would be if a disaster hit then I think it would be nothing but pure pandemonium. People were fighting and shooting each other in the streets for gas and bread. It was a very scary thing and I hope nothing like that happens again in my lifetime. And it certainly wasn't one nation under God after Hurricane Katrina either. It would and was everybody for themselves during those to instances. Good Question!

Why won't other Christian churches want us to help them with social issues, or let us join in on the National Day of Prayer, or anything like that? They accuse US of racism, yet, they practice their own form of bigotry when they exclude anyone they don't like the beliefs of.

We didn't become "one nation under God" until the words "under God" were added in 1954. Strangely, it was around that time that everything went wrong. Social problems began to run rampant, the government corruption levels skyrocketed, and wars became common in every decade except the 80's. Perhaps we should honor our founding fathers and return to the point at which they wanted us to arrive: true religious freedom for all, not just those in power.

No way I will defend you until you defend my rights. I'm an atheist, and I'm not a liberal. I'm a libertarian.

I wouldn't subscribe to a nation under god as I believe that god does not exist. One nation under the nation seems more intelligent, especially since everyone in america is NOT CHRISTIAN!

Shouldn't it e three nations under God with the North American Union (NAU) well underway.

Or maybe most of US isn't aware of the progress of this critical change since it seems to have dodged the news media.

More like "One nation under Gog." Mammon is his daddy and nothing motivates capitalistic pigs like good ole mammon in the trough.

As fractious as we are - when the chips are down, we are one country and would join together to protect it.

And, we are not "under god"........
