Yes, I have. I've had a couple of jobs where as a white American, I was in the minority. And the lesson I came out with both times was this: People are all pretty much the same. Black or white, people are smart or stupid, kind or petty, boring or funny, leader or follower all at about the same rates.

i work with people from mexico, the philippines, russia... everywhere. what have i learned? good things, bad things... it would be easier if you said ''what did you learn from group (x)?'' there's no way for me to sit down and type out all the stuff i've learned from/about different cultures, but i guess the most obvious thing i have learned is the fact that EVERY group is racist against the next group. i've learned exactly how suspicious people can be when there is a language barrier. and i've learned just how ignorant people from one ethnic group can be toward people from another ethnic group with no good reason, other than they don't understand each other. and it might get me reported... but i've learned to kinda hang my head in shame when someone calls me an american, and that's due to the typical racist/xenophobic views of most of the americans i know.

i worked with all white males at a paint store. from working with females in the past i LOVE working with guys. they are sensitive to a women, they carry heavy loads, buy you lunch, they don't gossip as much, and you don't get into cat fights with them, they let you win all the arguements, its great. with them being white... well, i don't know, i guess i learned they aren't that different than any other race. one had a daughter who got pregnant at an early age. a wife who left him with their 2 kids for another man. one did drugs and drinked like there was no tomorrow, he lived in a trailer park, and wore the same dirty blue jeans every friday. i guess i learned no matter what color we all have the same problems, problems aren't attrached to the color of your skin. i worked with them for 3 years, my best job ever.

I have learned that every ethnicity is basically the same. The only true differance may be (other than skin color) their beliefs. That doesn't make them any worse nor any better.

you can learn lots of things from people you've never expected to learn anything from. If you only stick to people who are just like you, then you probably won't really learn anything new.

I've learned that blacks are obnoxious and do as little as it takes to get by, whites are there to work and be productive, asians are peacemakers and helpers.

Yes - Color is only skin deep. We are the Human race.
What matters is what they carry in their souls -
Then it's up to God to sort us out.
