this chick and her hubby are divorcing... while he is having his "temporary custody" he allows his mother (the child's step-grandmother) to have his step-daughter's hair cut, and she sells the hair for $35. which she uses to buy beer.

someone needs to make sure that child is not in the company again of the step-grandmother. Today she's selling the kid's hair, tomorrow she will be selling the kid. Sounds dangerous to me. Keep a watchful eye and report the woman if other strange things happen. Sounds like her addiction is heavy. Drug (alcohol is a drug) users steal and such. It's hard to tell what to expect next.

Does the mother own a double wide? Eat Velveeta on a regular basis? Yes, it's insane. It's sort of like this one girl I knew in high school who got pregnant, and SOLD the baby, and you know what she did with the money? She went out and bought a freaking WATER BED. If *I* was in that situation? I would biaatch slap the step grandmother into another universe.

I'd flip~ I could see if the hair was being donated but to buy beer with a child's hair, I would prob need to remove myself from the presence of those people... to say the least~

I'd call up Granny and yell till her hearing aid battery died. First off who the hell does she think she is, getting my kids hair cut without permission. Secondly, if she cant stay sober long enough for her granddaughter to visit, her granddaughter need not visit.

i'd say this is very crazy....who buys hair?...and i hope this was a needed haircut cause it'd be so wrong to do it just to get money...
and why can't she buy her own beer?...i still can't get over the fact that you can sell hair...
