I dont know why people want to be compared to celebs.
If some guy was like "oh, you look like Beyonce"
But I'm not. If you want her ***, get her, dont come to me.

nah, they should like you for you.....Yeah you might look like Beyonce...But that shouldn't be why he likes you...He needs to like your super cool personality.

It is more than likely intended as a compliment, but is not accepted as one by you, since anyone giving you a compliment of this kind is also thinking of the other person that they compared you to- and over-looking you in the process. I don't believe that you're necessarily being too sensitive when this, at least in part, offends you somewhat.

Take it as a compliment, but also always be aware of their motives. Maybe he is truly attracted to you and you remind him of her and in his way is letting you know you are attractive. If it is just a line, you will soon know by his actions, what is he after, how does he treat you. If it is just to daze you into bed, you will soon know that, so put that off as long as you can and see how long he sticks around. I would say several and I do mean several months should do it. Maybe he is the one, maybe not.

Interesting point. I wouldn't want to be compared to a celeb, either (not that I would, ha) You are being a tad sensitive here. I mean, he was comparing you to a really pretty woman. It could have been Rosie O'Donnell....

Guys just compare girls who are really pretty to supermodels.

Maybe I would be upset if someone told me I looked like an ugly celebrity. For instance, if someone came up to me and told me I looked just like Divine, that would make me angry.
If it's an attractive celebrity, I am flattered. Try not to be so touchy.

I agree...a compliment given in someone elses favor, isn't much of a compliment. Sounds more like a come on.

That's definitely a complement.Beyonce is pretty, and if he says you look like her, then that means he might think you are pretty too.And besides,who wouldn't want to look like Beyonce?

I see your point but you might be being just a bit too sensitive....take the compliment (yes it is a compliment) in the spirit in which it was given.
