Blow up your TV, move to the country, plant a little garden, eat a lot of peaches and you'll be OK.

I'm assuming you mean that you have been sober for 25 years and are now questioning your need for going to AA meetings . . . ?

I think that if you are able to remain sober without going to meetings then you don't need to go to meetings. But you also have to be honest with yourself and if you see yourself beginning to slip run, do not walk, to your nearest meeting. The problem here is that denial can make you believe you are ready and capable when you really are not. But you will never know until you try.

BTW, I never received my order and still got billed for the New Moral World I wanted so would you please inform whatever parties necessary that I demand a full refund because this . . . well this world if neither new nor moral.

It seems to be an underlying issue with you. You feel as if you never really made it, because you've had some twisted thoughts about AA. Well, their your thoughts, but at times you have to admitt....your thoughts haven't all been there for you!
Something has triggered an urge, your best bet...get to an AA meeting..find a good sponsor who can relate with you...and do the 12 steps. You can do it!!!!! There is sooo much help for every stage..

You refer to yourself as a boy. There is a risky test to see if you are addicted to the drug alcohol... pick one up, see what happens. I not have had a drink in about 20 years now. I do not miss it. I found a way of getting high that is much more potent and fun then the artificial chemical high of drugs like alcohol, etc. I big time exercise... a natural high, earn for high, feeling of accomplishment, body feels good too. I stop going to A.A. because there were not enough crescent wenches to go around to fit all the different size nuts. Too many horse thieves not working on the horse thieving.

If you cant beatum Joinum. Have you really kept your nose clean or are you already drinking? Anyhow AA is a place to make friends so unless you have other stuff to do id say stay. If you have other stuff to do thats more important then meeting friends and having fun...

I'm going on 29 years clean and sober but I still manage to get to one meeting a week just so I don't forget. I still maintain my anonymity however because I still think any "world order" should be ignored.

I totally don't get the question, honestly -- care to elaborate?

new moral world order?
i study ethics but i've never heard of this
and i know about AA, but don't see the connection between that organization and this "new moral world order" of which you speak

Not at all. You are free to destroy your life and those who are around you. This is a choice that you make.

I feel no obligation to stop someone who is intent on killing themselves. When that person is ready for help, they will stop drinking and make choices to change their life.

The larger issue is why choose such a slow way to kill the self.

You should go to AA only for yourself and no one else.
