and if he does like me should i ask him out? i really want to but my best friend josh has been saying a bunch of crap because the boy i like is younger than us. josh is like a brother to me i listen to everything he says i've known him for 13yrs. and i take everything he says in consideration but is he just trying to protect me or what?

He might be protecting you or he might like you more than you think and it is best to explore which route to take . I think getting too many opinions could hurt you here and confuse you. He could be jealous because he wants more than a friend. Just be careful and find the truth about it before you get hurt.Be honest about it and you can't go wrong if they are your true feelings.
