I just got a new pair of court shoes for a musical coming up in a few weeks, as i was unable to buy a good pair, i ended up getting a cheap pair from Kmart, so they arent very comfy...anyone know the quickest way to break them in?

If they are synthetic "leather" - you can't break them in, they will be painful forever. Use sports tape and bandaids to protect your skin. If they are real leather or canavas - moisten them a little bit and wear them around the house. You can also try putting a little bit of rubbing alcohol inside the shoe and wearing them.

use a damp paper towel to bend them a bit depending on the shoes. This works well for character shoes and tap shoes. Point shoes has to do with wearing out the boxes. Sometimes just hitting them on something hard or stepping on them does the trick. I had to do this a lot because of competitions. try to bend them in spare time and occasionally use water but be careful for bleeding of color. Good luck!

every chance you get just wear them around the house and at dance and just move around a lot in them and bend them a little if you can ...

wear them around the house a few days in a row, works everytime, especially for the cheaper shoes
