Tom Cruise - he was the hottest Hollywood celebrity for years, at the top of his heap - then ever since he split with Nicole and even more since he got with Katie, he's been ridiculed for his actions, his religion, his looks, etc. The jumping on the couch started, his attack on Brooke Shields did not help and the Scientology pushing got even more strident. He also got interviewed by Peter Overton of Australia's 60 minutes and attacked him for being "rude" - and he was nothing of the sort, he made a jackass of himself (Tom, I mean!).

When I read your question, the first name that "pop" in my mind was KATO KAELIN (the guy who was a guest at O.J Simpson house) Medias made him a big star and then make so fun of him. Don't know what is going on with him.
