I have to disagree with goatman... the Christian "Mephisto" and "Mephistoles" are not synonymous terms with "Satan". Mephisto, or Mephistoles, is the Keeper of the Fire at the Gate. "Satan" is the owner of the grounds protected by the Gate.

More names...

Some Celtic versions:
Lugh.
The Horned One.
The Green Man.
The Stag.
Anwnn.
The Dagda.

A Roman version:
Venus, as the Light Bearer, or the morning star... "Angel of the Morning."

These are all names of "a" diety that existed long before the concept of "Satan" was concieved, and are the direct inspiration for the organized religious version.

The only ones I know are Lucifer and the Devil. It's a shame because I like the name Lucifer and would have given that name to a boy if i ever had one. Anyway Lucifer was the Angel of music before going away from God.
