Open its software utility. Usually the channel adjustment is in the advanced configuration settings. BOTH my wireless router and wireless adapter have the adhoc channel adjustment.

Hi there, It seems your problem caused by your desktop was not connected to preferred network. Maybe you can check you desktop configuration: 1. Right click on your wireless icon in system tray (right bottom of your screen), and then click on View Available Wireless Network menu on shown pop-up menu 2. On opened wireless dialog box, click on Change the order of preferred network to open the wireless network configuration. 3. On the configuration dialog box, ensure the Use Windows to configure my wireless network ticked, and on the Preferred Network part, move up and move down, you wireless connection priority. 4. Click on the OK button if you already done the configuration. Hope this information helpful Cheers, Tian Zega

If you are using a router or access point, it sets the channel, not the card.

In windows go to your network icon and click properties.

In properties you should see "configure wireless card"

In there go to advanced properties and you can select the channel to 6.
