Whats going on? I have checked my firewalls. I have clicked the "repair" button. No luck. I even tried the ipconfig stuff. Nothing. Unless I am doing something wrong. Help me out please.

((The rest of the computers are picking up the network just fine except my laptop. I even used a wireless card adapter. Same thing happens. Is it my laptop that has the problem? Did I damage the driver somehow?))

Control Panel, Network and Dialup connections, Local Area Connection, Properties, Internet Protocol (tcp/ip), Obtain ip address automatically should be On, Obtain DNS Server Address Automatically should be On.
Click OK
Restart, if any changes were made.
If still no connect.
Verify that your router wireless feature is Enabled.
Verify that your router MAC Address feature is OFF, for now at least.
Verify your Encryption and Key are set the same on the router and your laptop wireless adapter. Note the encryption key is case sensitive.
Verify your SSID
If still no connect.
Ok, lets go back to the ip config stuff.
Note the ip address of your router. If the laptop has an ip address that is different from the router address, with the exception of the last two or three characters, i.e. router address = 192.168.1.1, laptop address should be 192.168.1.xxx, where xxx is not equal to 1 and is less than 256, This being true the laptop ip is probably Ok. If not true Type ipconfig /release
Type ipconfig /renew
Type ipconfig
Verify that the ip is Ok, if Not Type ipconfig /release
Restart the laptop

Good Luck

Just re-install the wireless card drivers.

Then make sure that on the access-point if using encryption your are using the same encryption type and key.

for example: TKIP or AES etc.

Thanks

Are you using a program for your wifi on your computer by the name of Atheros?

If it is on your machine or if it should be, use it to configure the wireless on your machine instead of using Windows to do it.

Also enable radio for your wireless on your computer.
