This is an oldie, going back to 1967. It was sung by Brenton Wood, and I have found one source calling it "Just Give Me Some Kind Of Sign", and another calling it "Gimme A Little Sign". The lyrics are:

Gimme A Little Sign...Brenton Wood. I have this record, its from the mid 60's and I know its right! Trust me its my era and those other answers are not the one with these words. Look it up on amazon.com his greatest hits and scroll down to song list and hear a 30 second clip.
