There's a guy who has hurt me a lot, but I think of him as a brother. But now he likes me.. what should I do?

We are really close. We talk about everything... but i'm not sure if I like him the same. Plus there is the factor that he always finds a new girl in a week; he ssays he has changed....but how can i believe him??? And there is also the sake of our friendship on the line. I'm so confused!

Your confusing yourself with different concepts, your problem with moving this relationship forward isn't at the cost of the friendship. Its because you don't trust him. Which in a lot of ways doesn't make him much of a friend. You've got issues with him over the way he treats ladies and you don't want to end up like just another girlfriend. Understand that friends make great lovers, but lovers rarly ever make good friends. Just remember that not growing together, being honest, and trustworth are the stables for a stable deep meaningful relationship. Unfornatunely your missing some of those elements already which makes this guy a bad candidate for growing with.
