Are you going to a college that gives you a choice?

Most colleges assign your roommate to you--they don't really have a choice if they want to live on campus.

But no--most of the guys I knew wouldn't have cared. Its a roommate, not a friend. Most aren't going to even see or really talk to their roommate. As long as you don't hit on your roommate and as long as you don't have your male interests over all the time (to the degree that they feel driven from their own room so that you can have male friends)--but thats the same if you have male or female interests.

You shouldn't have a problem. If you come across people who judge you because you are gay then your better off without them, they are just small minded people. I am straight but I wouldn't have a problem sharing a room with a person whether they are gay, straight, black, white or even green! I hope you find a nice roommate who won't judge you. Good luck :)

Most likely, no. I had eight different roommates on campus over the three years I was there, and not one of them had a problem with me. I actually became good friends with most of them, and was a groomsman in one of their weddings last year.

Besides, I find that the most homophobic types don't even make it to college. Hell, they barely make it through high school.

it depends on how you talk to them ---and how they think of you-if they hate gay people like us---then you will have problems---------if they dont care but they want you to stay in your own little busiess and they in theirs-then maybe that could work out--and if you find somegay guy-you might get to go out with you new roomate---good luck----hope i helped

It depends on the atmosphere at your university.
You just have to be upfront about yourself and find someone who is either tolerant, uncaring of your personal preferences, or gay themselves.
It really just depends on your school environment.

You may. Try and find out if your roommate has any prejudice against gay people, and act accordingly.
