The swelling should go away soon. The lip take longer than your typical ear piercing because it's such a tender spot. The pain is most likely from you playing with it. Face it.. you're playing with it whether you know it or not. lol You can't help it! Also, try not to bump it on anything or let any tiny little fingers around it. Be sure to be diligent about your after-care, whether it's sea salt soaks or bactine. You can chew ice.. that helps with both swelling AND pain. Keep up on the Ibuprofen and STOP PLAYING WITH IT!! lol

If you've had it for two weeks, than it must be infected or something!I'm not experienced or anything, because I don't have a lip ring, but I have gotten my ears pierced, and it only hurt for the first couple of days randomly, or just when I touched them. So, I would recommend seeing a doctor or taking it out!

oftentimes swelling usually is going down in a pair of week, now and returned it could take 2 weeks. you may help now via sucking on ice and using ice to the lip. you additionally can take ibuprofen to assist with soreness and inflammation. do no longer touch the piercing except cleansing it, and don't play with it in any respect. in case you certainly in basic terms go away it on my own and follow ice, swelling will flow down presently. Braces do no longer impression the healing technique in any respect.

You might want to go to the doctor to have it looked at. When I got my ears pierced same thing happend.... Went to the doctor found out I was allergic to silver. So you might just be allergic or just has a little infection. But thats what I would do.
