is all just different forms of energy, with multiple levels of energy types...

We just perceive the universe a tangible. Since that’s how we are in our existence.

What do you think? Yea?Nay?

You say the universe is REAL.....
How do you KNOW that? huh?
ProoF?
You say everything is a perception, so how can you prove a perception?
How can you do that when we can not even prove that other minds exist?
Please let me know if you have the answers to these problems; that philosophers for centuries have been trying to answer....
If you find anything definitive...I'll definitely listen and consider it!!

Your response to people...about hitting their hand on something and feeling pain....
There's a saying about an old philosopher who stubbed his toe….but at this moment I cannot recall exactly how it went.
Pain is just a sensation.
A reaction to your environment, through your senses and emotions, in a complex neural process of energy transfer.
Pain does not exist outside of your physical body.
an apple does not feel pain
a book does not feel pain…etc…

LindaLou: I have seen ‘the what the bleep’ and ‘down the rabbit whole’
Great movies!!… I’ve seen them quite a few times, and every time I see them again, I catch something different.
I am a biology major, philosophy minor. (a 28yr old Sr., in college)

Yes, that is just about exactly what I believe. It is merely our limited perception within this physical realm that leads us to believe that anything is "real". It's all energy. Some things simply vibrate at different rates. Rocks vibrate slower than trees which vibrate slower than humans which vibrates slower than light etc. etc.

If you haven't watched What the Bleep Do We Know?, you should. It's very interesting and speaks to this concept.

You are quite correct, everything is made of atoms, the whole universe is made of atoms. And atoms are held together by a positive charge of electricity! You and I are teeming with atoms! One neutron in the centre with electrons revolving around it. If just one electron moves out of place we should have a nuclear explosion! Because that atom would have been split, thus causing a chain reaction with other atoms in our bodies. So whatever you are doing at this moment in time, for gods sake do it very gently for all of us! lol. Just a thought! Where are all the atoms with a negative charge? Anti- matter? I just wondered! Have a good day.

The universe is real.
Peoples perceptions differ but we all basically experience the same thing.
The universe is a system that started will run it's course and one day go out of existence.
Yea.

Did you really just ask me if i am real? isn't that like asking your illusion if you are deluding your self?

Aside from that, there is more 'nothing' than something "out there". In fact, talking in scale, the distance between one particle of potential energy and another "particle" is GRATER than the distance between one star is to another.
A? Are you a "What the Bleep do we know' fan too?

When anyone ask, how do we know we/everything is real, I just say; hit your hand with a hammer. This is not "the maxtrix." Everything around you is very real.

The universe is made entirely of 'particles.' The 'particles' join together to form atoms. Some atoms are "matter," ie. they have 'mass,' or "weight." Other atoms have little or no 'mass,' or "weight." These atoms are called energy.

We have not yet figured out what is "mass."

Dark energy and dark matter is PROBABLY entirely made of 'particles,' i.e. never formed into atoms...

non religious philosophy tend to overlook the Tibetan philosopher monks. the Dalai Lama wrote a book called How to See Yourself As You Really Are. i think it expounds on their philosophical knowledge and shows just how far thinking can be pushed. Most people don't want to go there.

If there weren't different types of energy there wouldn't be so much diversity. And not everything is tangible, that makes it even more diversified and interesting.

I've always liked this idea, but I think it's just as hard to prove as anything else.

Eh?

Sounds plausible to me. I'm not sure of anything though.
