Who said your job is being performed by just ONE foreigner?
I have seen the stats some companies projected regarding domestic workers vs. foreigners. Starting around six years ago especially, workers in India were making about 1/8th the amount of their American counterparts. Add to this great disparity the fact that corporations like AMX don't have to pay foreign workers health insurance or put money aside for their pensions, and you have a "no-brainer".
What we need to do is find a way to keep jobs at home. Obviously, giving American corporations tax credits for keeping jobs in the U.S. is not feasible since a corporation will still prefer to pay a foreign worker $10,000 a year as opposed to $50,000 a year for an American. No amount of tax credit is going to close that gap!
However, you do bring up a point about the work ethic of some foreigners. I saw a video that was a little bit sad and pathetic to me. It showed workers in some Asian country who were about to open a Walmart. They acted like they were about to engage in some glorious battle. They were given motivational speeches by their managers, and I thought it was just so absurd. How can an American compete against someone who considers a job at Walmart tantamount to being a proud soldier in a great army?

I dont think most people think foreigners are lazy, most people I know have no problem wuth foreigners or immigrants for that matter, now if you are talking about illegal immigrants taking jobs, than ethats a different story. They arent lazy they are just here illegally(which maks them criminals by definition) They do work hard that's not disputed, what's disputed is the fact that they shouldnt even be here to take a job.

can do it better... and ....as you said... less money...
i do not know whom is the "other foreigner" but it seems that the "boss" has it clear.... i do not think the "boss" saw this person as you described it....
i think the way seeing by the supervisor... in charge, was....
less money or salary + and more production = better results $$ and competition at work... excellent outcome $$ for "the company" .
but of course there are EOP laws... and others ones that may apply... " if " you consider this such case.

No not really, says something about your employer if anything. They have no sense of patriotism. If these corporations making billions in profit would just stop hiring the illegals and pay their workers and take a bit of a pay cut this country would be ten times better. I actually lost my job because of the rising cost of fuel, so thanks for asking.
