yes it is normal, stop stressing. at the moment you are in the first trimester of your pregnancy and this is when your hormones start to change to adapt to the child you are carrying, you are going to experience all kinds of changes. do not do too much heavy activity work but light exercise is good. go for a walk everyday or something like that. dont worry you are completly normal. if you are resting and these problems persist for a long period of time you shoul see a doctor immedialtr\ely, but for now, enjoy what you are experiencing!

Lower back pain in the first trimester is relatively common. Some studies suggest that as many as 50% or more of pregnant women will have some lower back pain in the first trimester.
Lower back pain in the first trimester is most often caused because of the way that the hormone progesterone interacts with the ligaments and the discs in a pregnant woman’s back that serve to support her upper body. In other cases, lower back pain during the first trimester of pregnancy can be caused by a urinary tract infection. Obviously, the cure for your first trimester lower back pain will depend on what exactly is causing it.
If your lower back pain in the first trimester is caused by a urinary tract infection, the obvious way to cure the pain is to cure the infection. Your health care provider may be able to prescribe an antibiotic to get rid of the infection. If the pain in your lower back during the first trimester is caused by progesterone, however, the cure can be much more difficult.

Finally, if you are experiencing lower back pain in the first trimester, simply getting a bit of rest can cure some degree or another of your ailments. Especially during the first trimester, when many women may have trouble sleeping, getting enough rest is critical. When you do lie down to rest, lying on your side with a pillow placed between your legs can often help to cure some of your lower back pain in the first trimester.
As for the cramping it may be the fetus attaching itself to the uterine wall, but either way you should go to the ob/gyn to see everything is as it should.

if you're worried you should contact your ob. you need to see him/her anyway.if you've been doing a lot of work around the house it's most likely muscular or it could be your body getting ready for the baby.make your initial appt with the ob and tell them whats going on. congratulations.

I had the same problem, and it turned out that I had an etopic pregnancy. I was having early labor pains and losing the baby. I would go and get checked immediatly. Good luck
