It is totally normal for your periods to be irregular when you first start. You should just get a small purse and always carry pads with you just in case! Check out the website below for more information on periods. Good luck :)

okay.. when you first start.. it's really irregular .. it will be a couple years if not like 4 or 5 until it will be exactly every 4th week.. you should carry a purse.. put it in the zip up pocket inside where no one will see it if your purse is open.. and everyone carries them so it is not emberrassing. it's just a part of life..
if you dont wana carry a purse.. bring a jacket .. put it in the pocket. make sure it doesnt fall out.. you dont have to wear the jacket but carry it with you. and when you go to the bathroom. take it out. no one will notice anything

you'll get it again. your cycle is not going to be perfect right off the bat. hopefully you are not sexually active yet, but if you are you should know that you are now able to get pregnant, so be careful and ALWAYS use a condom. as for the pad situation, get a cute container that you can keep in your backpack or locker or start to carry a purse. ask you parents to buy you some of those teen starter tampons too, because let me tell you, they will make your life a lot easier, just practice with them until you figure them out, IT'S WORTH IT! :o)

its normal to miss you period when you first start...just as long as you havent been "doing anything" then u would have a problem. But when you first start it is perfectly normal don worry too much. You can put pads in you pockets or ask a friend who caries around a purse to carry them with her then when u need one ask her for her purse and take it to the restroom with you...just make sure your friend knows y.

I heard it's common to start getting your period and then not have it regularly for awhile. As long as you aren't sexually active I wouldn't worry if it takes awhile to get consistent. Unfortunitly, if you aren't regular then you don't know when you are going to bleed. So make sure you have pads or tampons available wherever you go, in lockers or purses. It is a good idea to start keeping a little calender where you can tell yourself when you bleed start to finish, eventually this will help you to know when you are going to have it so you can bring supplies accordingly.

Couldn't you just leave a couple pads in your locker all the time and not worry about carrying them around? Or stick them in a bookbag?
Don't worry too much about not being regular right away. Lots of teenagers aren't.

carry the pads in a special pouch in your back pack. and keep one in your pocket if they are not to thick, just in case you have to go to the bathroom during class, you dont have to let everyone know whats up by removing the pouch from your back pack, that can be embarassing.
my suggestion would be to go to the bathroom between each class period to change, it is just easier that way.
and you are going to need more than just two. in case you have a really heavy day. always plan for the worst. if you overflow and stain your pants, everone will know whats going on with you, it could be very very embarassing.
if you use tampons, be safe with them, read all of the directions and warnings.
good luck

When you first start your period it is OK to be irregular. When you get pad to go to the bathroom can you stick it in a pocket or as corny as it may sound in your bra. Just make sure it is in there and doesn't fall out,

Good idea. You never know when is the next because your body is still adjusting to it so best to be prepared. Have you ever thought of tampoons? It is safe to use and its small enough to put in your purse.
