Better question would be, why do YOU think it is? The burden of proof lays on the claimant.

In your political life, remember one thing: Liberals are always working on some angle to make you dependent on the government, and for the government to somehow get greater control of what you do, and how you do it.

Global Warming is the Liberal's dream.

However, Global Warming is junk science. The earth has been considerable warmer in the distant past, and had 10 times the current CO2 levels, but the two events were not connected. Increased CO2 was not responsible for higher planetary temperatures.

Back in the 700's, Greenland was so warm for several decades that they planted a wide variety crops and raised livestock, something which is impossible today. CO2 levels influenced by human action back then were practically negligible.

NASA has disclosed that planetary warming is occuring on ALL planets in our solar system. Liberals can't blame that bad environmentalist, George Bush for Mars, can they? Right now, there is a cycle of increased solar radiation, so all the planets are slightly warmer. In the last 100 years, the average temperature has gone up just .67 of a degree.

Just watch the following video (just the first 10 minutes if you get bored.) You will soon discover that many scientists regard "global warming" as some absurd trick being played on a gullible public by unscrupulous people. They cite that, in the past, our planet had at times much larger CO2 levels, and the planet's temperature was lower than today. CO2 is not a contributing factor according to them.

One very funny note: the Alaskan tundra should be an environmentalist's dream, right? It's pristine, beautiful to look at, and is exactly what they fight for. However, it also produces incredible amounts of CO2. It's off the scale !!! If environmentalists were really serious about reducing CO2 levels, they would have to spray the tundra with a herbicide to kill it all. Tell that to Al Gore.... I think he find it a very Inconvenient Truth.

The overwhelming majority of scientists around the world agree that the earth's temperatures are rising. The amount of carbon dioxide has spiked dramatically in the past 20 years along with some other greenhouse gases. A few scientists, most of whom are closely aliened with the oil companies or are receiving money from them, are loudly contradicting the scientific community. By looking at the responses here that minority of experts is making a significant impact on public opinion. Remember folks, even the Whitehouse has admitted that global warming is real.

Global warming may be taking place but it is not caused by man. They have found out that they polar ice caps are melting on Mars. Guess what, there are no white Republican males on Mars. They have also found out that the sun is in a period where it is burning hotter than normal. That is the source of the warming. Do you not understand that this is a liberal driven agenda to put more controls on people? The sky is not falling. Some day the sun will burn out and life will cease to exist. Guess what, we can't do anything about it. It is called nature.

Who said global warming wasn't real? Just like there are times when the earth has had global cooling. I just don't believe Al gore and co. that we, man are killing the earth, at such a rate that the earth will be dead in 100 years. That's is just political BS.

Because I can think for myself and do my own research. The Earth is not in an exact Heliocentric orbit, if it moves a few degrees towards or away could have some climate changes. I do not accept the fact that man is all powerful to damage the atmosphere to the point of self annihilation. Some followers seem to believe anything without keeping an "open mind" and think for themselves.

I think its real. I don't think its caused in large part to man however.

It's solar warming since data on Mars and other planets show the same amount of warming.

Yes I think it is real.
However, I believe it is a naturally occurring event that the earth has been through many many times before.
In our time of technology and industry however, we are accelerating it with the terrible pollution we pump into the atmosphere.
