My kids have tried to grow these things on a number of occasions. They hatch, grow a little then die. Does anyone have any tips on keeping and growing these things? I have just bought the little sachet kits and the plastic home they come with. I follow all the instructions that come with them. What am I doing wrong? What a stoopid question this is!

Pluss the serculation of the water might be to loww try taking a terkey bester or squeesable medason dropper and suck some water in and blast it to the bottem of the tank twise a day. Also try putting them out of sunlight.

A lot has to do with the temperature, salinity, water quality, and feeding them. Sea monkeys are really just brine shrimp. You can get replacement eggs and salt mix in pet stores that won't be as expensive as the sea monkey kits. The larger the tank you can keep them in the better, and if you invest in a hydrometer, you can use salt to mix up your own water. See this website for good directions on raising them: http://www.aquarticles.com/articles/management/Pegasus_Brine_Shrimp.html

I ordered the sea Monkeys whilst i became a baby. They hatched into tiny little organisms, and that i've got stumbled on a similar little issues in ponds. not sure what their genuine call is. It became nicely worth it, nevertheless. i did no longer experience like it became a rip off. They have been relaxing to observe. the only project that became fairly dumb became the classified ads confirmed little human-like creatures, and that i knew in the previous I ordered them that the advert image became ridiculous

Sea monkeys are basically brine shrimp. If you want to put them to good use before they die, you can feed them to your fish for a treat. Otherwise there's no point in keeping them.

Maybe they don't live long, or maybe your type of water isn't so great for them? Only things I can think of. I once had them as a kid, and I don't remember them living very long either.
