Apparently the least informed viewers happen to be those who watch Fox News. Also it shows the most informed viewers happend to be those who watched the Daily show followed by those who watch the News Hour with Jim Lehrer. Research conducted by Pew Research Institute.

The problem with any regular network news is that it becomes background noise after while. You hear the same thing over and over as they beat a story to death. Most viewers cannot remember what they have seen.

People watch Jim Lehrer and The Daily Shoe on purpose. Leher presents the news straight on, without an agenda. Stewart's skewed approach to the news makes it interesting. Either way, people are more likely to remember what they heard, and as a result be better informed.

What you are saying is that comedy news is more informative that Fox news. Perhaps cartoons taught you life lessons also.
