Just finished listening to the Bernadette Peters and cast CD of the Annie Get Your Gun revival. Haven't heard it before, bu had heard the original 1943 stage version and he movie made afer it. Peters and her gang are quite impressive in this old warhorse, and somewhat lighter voiced and gayer (if I can still use that word in its older sense) than the original singers, who were still in the bellowing-out like there is no tomorrow operetta tradition.
