There is only 1 God. It is beyond the ability of humans to comprehend God's purposes. Rather than ask if God is on our side, we should ask if we are on God's side.

There is One God who is Creator of all and the works of this power can be seen in all things throughout creation. Religion and theology are the creations of man, trying to understand his creator. There is no conflict with the creator, for He is not the author of confusion. 1 Cor:14:33 It is the will of man that starts conflict out of derision, all the separations we see today are because someone had a different thought on how certain doctrines should be interpreted and thus you have the three major forms of Judaistic thought: Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

God isn't the one who's conflicted - man is. The 3 religions have *far* more in common than not.
Man will *always* find a reason to fight, though - take religion out of the picture, and you'll still have greed, ambition, etc.

No God is not conflicted.
There is only one God. I agree that people need to ask if they are on God's side, rather than claiming that God is on their side.

I think we all worship the same God and call him by different names.
What is "not my will, but they be done"? God didn't say that. Why should God decide who is right in a situation completely created by man? If anyone in the situation had been following God's will we wouldn't be in this mess.

Hoping to be on God's side was one of the profound comments of A. Lincoln. Don't know if it was original with him.
Amazing how many "fundamentalists" say only they have the ear of God.
"Thy will be done" is all the prayer any true fundamentalist needs, all else is self-serving evil.

First, no matter what you call him, God, Mohamad, Alah, Jehova, Budda, The Great I Am, whatever, it's the same dude who answers! One day he'll be here to set that straight! Secondly, the quote "Not my will, but thine be done!" Is a quote from a prayer to the same dude! Not a statement by "THE CREATOR"!

They all have the same God and they don't get it. That is what happens when religion and politics get mixed. It becomes a mess
