Check with your doctor. I got mine done and had a nasty infection from it. I was trying to make it go away with the sea salt on the advice of the lady who pierced me, and on a routine checkup, my doctor told me that it was highly likely that my body was allergic to the steel posts that are commonly used for body piercings. He told me that it would be much better to try and get a gold one (I found that white gold works well too). Having your doctor tell you that is also a great excuse to get the more expensive gold belly rings as presents too!!

Gold will not help, it would probably cause more problems. Gold is not appropriate for intial piercings. Rejection is caused by upward pressure on the exit holes of a piercing and excessive irritation (like getting it caught badly on clothing).

If it was done professionally and rejected 3 times, it's likely to reject again. Some people just aren't made for some piercings.

No, it won't work. Piercing through scar tissue hurts, a lot. And if you've already had it done 3 times and it's been rejected every single time, it would be best NOT to get it done again. I doubt using a different metal will make a difference.

Instead of using gold it might be better to use a stainless steel or titanium belly button ring.
But as the other person said, it would be best if you didnt peirce it because obviously your body doesn't want to accept it
It may just be because you are sensitive to something in the silver

i had mine done a total of 4 different times, & it didn`t take any of those times...my body rejected it (except for the 1st one, the guy did it crooked & i took it out)...so, as much as i luv it & would like to have it, it`s not to be...so i`m just piercing other parts now!!!

i wouldnt suggest you to do so. or maybe you can explain to your artist to see what he/she has to say. did you go to the same places 3 times? cuz i think basically if 3 time all got effected, you may just too sensitive for that
