Peyton Manning easily right now in my opinion! Manning is a step ahead of everyone in the NFL. He studies teams all week and finds weakness's.Then explotes those weaknees's on gameday. By the end of his career he will be the best QB in nfl history!

HEY TERRY C and NDMAGICMAN............He said by the end of his career that Peyton would be the Best in history, not right now, read the question assholes. TERRY C - You say that the only reason Peyton does what he does is because of good o-line play? Come on, you have zero knowledge about the game of football or how to play the quarterback position if that's what you think.

I agree with the one asking the question, Peyton will be the best ever by the time he retires. As of now I have to give it to Favre or Steve Young. The problem with Young is he didn't have a starting job long enough before he retired. Steve Young is the most efficiently rated QB in NFL history and has the best winning % of any QB in NFL history. Can't really beat that.

You must be young. Manning is a good QB but best of all time? No. With 45 years of watching the NFL I'd say John Elway. He led the Broncos to 5 Super Bowls (he was 2-3), the first three really all on his shoulders. Those first 3 SB teams were not great but they got their solely on Elways talent. Add 47 come from behind victories in the 4th quarter. Most ever career wins for a starting QB. 2nd all time in passing yards, 3rd all time in TDs. Elway was by far the most all around physically gifted QB ever to play.
Here's my Top 5 that I've had the pleasure to watch:
1) Elway
2) Marino
3) Unitas
4) Staubach
5) Montana

Joe Montana and Dan Marino. Tom brady still has a ways to go to be in the same category. The only reason people want to put him up there is because he PLAYED in three superbowls, HE didnt WIN those games, Bill Bellicheck and that DEFENSE won those superbowls. If Drew Bledsoe hadnt got hurt he would probably have at least two of those rings lol. Tom Brady is good but he cant even be mentioned in the same breath as Steve Young just yet.

You are a little young then, schoolboy...Peyton Manning has not proven anything except that Indy has a good O Line...and he can't even hold Tom Brady's jock strap...

Joe Montana is the greatest QB in the history of the NFL...Why?...4 MFin Super Bowls...and the greatest comebacks in NFL history...

why not? I DO think its Peyton Manning. And between Peyton and Cassel I can think of quite a few better QB's. Drew Brees, Philip Rivers, Kurt Warner, Chad Pennington, Jay Cutler, Tony Romo, Matt Schaub, Jeff Garcia

He might be at the conclusion of his career. But as of right now Joe Montana without a doubt is the greatest QB of all time. 4 rings and he could will a victory. He is a big part of why Jerry Rice had the hall of fame career he did.

Johnny Unitas

Not even Manning compares himself with Unitas.

Following his death, Peyton requested to wear a pair of black as a tribute. Also he wears #18 because he wanted to wear #19 but it is retired.

So this tells you something.

John Elway was also great and the best on clutch situations.
