Question for you... If your wife had so many flaws in your mind, and was so disobedient that you had to punish her all the time, why would you even want to marry her? Do you think you can change her? That's something many women have thought of men over the years - that they can change them. You know what? It never works. Why on earth would you want to put limits on your wife? You say it's to protect her. But if you cared about her before you married her, and she did all the things you tried to restrict before marrying you, you're essentially trying to change the person you married, therefore you never loved or cared for her in the first place. You just want a puppet that you can control.

I think you are confused about a father to child relationship versus a husband to wife relationship... disciplining a child is showing them tough love... but a grown woman has gone through childhood already and can make her own decisions... so no the guy would still be a jerk and a control freak

Mr. Sandstorm,
First and foremost...why have you never given me a BEST ANSWER? I no longer argue with you...I state my ideas and some facts and try to be logical and intelligent but never have I received an YOU ARE OK best answer from you.
Now, this punishment thing cannot be taken too far. Can you not just communicate your dislike? Why do you have to use corporal punishment? Or why do you have to take away her privileges? Did you not marry the most intelligent, home-loving gal you could find? Why must you always find fault in her? Just talk to her and get things done the intelligent way.

If your wife was smart she would get the haul a** right now or beat yours. Where do men get off thinking it's okay to hit women? How would you feel if she disciplined you and gave you limits? This isn't the 1800's get real dude, no women in her right mind is gonna take that sh**!!!! And if she does, she deserves whatever she gets!!!

As a Hindu you ought to get your first spouse divorced in case you aren't getting divorce you won't be able to marry a 2d woman. As a Muslim woman ,she gained't marry a Hindu until eventually you're switched over to Islam.

No he just wants to control her not love her if he doesn't treat her as an equal it's wrong and shows his lack of respect for her as a person......She's a grown woman not a child and should be treated as an adult......

It's Spanky again.
Kinda funny you speak of discipline, yet bait fights for yourself.

To use the Bible to answer your question...the Bible says that those the Lord loveth he chasteneth. I wouldn't want to be with a man that would allow me to rule over him or allow me to do whatever I want. I've seen those kinds of relationships in action and wish to have no part in them. I am glad my fiance will discipline me, if the need arises. Yes, I think it shows he loves me more than if he just let me run wild.

Do you give her restrictions on sex too sweetie? No, I don't think I could marry you then. I can live with the rest of the restrictions
