Ive read afew threads saying that the Pats are going to be a 500 team this year even after their addition, siting reason such as Welker isnt capable of making any team but the patriots and theirs a reason why miami lets us have him. Ive also heard people say that Thomas is a bust because if he was good the ravens wouldnt have let him go. Ill agree I have concerns with randy moss and I know that the rest of the league hates tha Pats and their fans, but seriously how can you make a logical argument for the case that the patriots arent better for the their offseason moves. And as far as Brady being overrated, I just think that the guy who went 12-4 with caldwell and brown as his two recievers and made it to the AFC championship deserves a little more respect that the tag of overrated. We dont all have the luxury of Marvin Harrison and Reggy Wayne to helo make us look legendary. I understand you guys hate us pats fans but get real how can you intelligently say the Pats suck.

Who said they suck? A Colts fan? Jets fan? Dolphins fan? Bills fan? I'm not sure who else would say that honestly.....Patriots should win the Super Bowl...frankly, if they don't, I'm going to laugh at them a little...it would be a HUGE disappointment after they had the best offseason I've ever seen.....

They say it because they are annoyed with seeing the Patriots win every year. I am a Patriots fan and I hated seeing the Cowboys and the Bills every year for a while there. But, I am an educated sports fan and I never said they sucked. I did say I was tired of seeing these teams over and over again. Now I will enjoy the ride the Patriots have provided me as a fan. Eventually they will fade. Sorry not this year. That may be one of the greatest all around teams assembled when it's all said and done when Brady is carrying the Lombardi Trophy for the forth time. How can these people say the Patriots suck? Because the Patriots have taken all the drama out of the regular season this year. It makes them mad. Sorry. Go Pats Go BoSox!

Paul - u r right on. The Pats had a good year last season and were within one play of winning the game vs Colts, and they did all this w/o much of a receiving game and a shallow defense due to injuries and aging. Now they have added a stud like Thomas on D to shore uop the LB corps, plus Stallworth, Welker and Moss to add some speed to the receivers. I think people are jealous of the success of the team. Perhaps they should try to emulate us.

Honestly, and I have not been involved in any of these threads, the reason we hate the Pats is because they are so freakin good! People are so SICK and tired of seeing them win all of these super bowls it almost makes you sick. I know they have had a few "down" years (You made it to the firggin playoffs the last 4 years running!!!) but we are all upset they are making good moves right now. They are a big favorite to run away with the Super Bowl for a 4th time in 7 yrs.
But we all hate Tom Brady because he whines a lot after loses (no offense but he does). We also hate him because he is a pretty boy who wins. Peyton Manning is ugly and unsuccessful EVERYONE wanted him to win this year.

Im a pats fan, but a little worried. With all the new players, im afraid the Chemestry might be a little off, and they remind me a LOT of the Panthers offseason last year. An awsome one, but they still sucked. I think the pats rock, and SHOULD win the SB, but i have a feeling they'll lose early in the playoffs

I would say they're just jealous. They just wish their teams could go on the kind of run our Pats have had this decade. I also think that Randy Moss is going to have a great year. So it doesn't bother me a bit to be hated. Because as long as that's going on, that just means that were still winning. When these idiots say that the Pats are overrated, what they're actually saying is "****, I wish my team was this good". I just take it as a compliment.

I hated the Pats. But over these past weeks I've acutally started to like them. I'm a Jets fan and hate to see Brady destroy our defense (but not this year, lol) everytime we play. I apprectiate him now I guess but back to the point, the Pats don't suck they're probally going to the Super Bowl because of Brady and his WRs. People are just jealous that the Pats are feakin' awesome now!

To use a basketball analogy, the Patriots look now alot like the Lakers did when the got Karl Malone & Gary Payton - 2 guys who took way less money because they were desperate for a championship ring. And if you remember, doing so made them BY FAR the most hated team in the league. On paper, of course they were better. But pretty much everyone outside of LA wanted to see them crash & burn - and they ultimately did.
So, yes, the Patriots are better for the moves they made, and they are now almost everyone's pick to make the Super Bowl. But like the Lakers were, they are now the big bullies on the block, and everyone who's not a fan wants to see them crash & burn. No one really thinks they suck - they just cheer against the bully like most of us do.

They wouldnt hate on Brady if he was traded to their team i bet. As far as A. Thomas, ravens couldt afford him. Pats are like the yankees of football now. They just envy the pats.
