you have to tuck the corners of one side into the corners of the other side. straighten it out then it's easy to just fold it up.

First of all you need someone's help. Let them hold the sheet from one length and you from the other. Instead of holding the ends of the width of the fitted sheet, hold from where width meets the length. I call it the ears of the fitted sheet. Turn the rest of the hanging from the sides inwards. You should be able to see a perfect rectangular shape. Give the person helping you, the two ears you are holding. Examine the sides. Tuck all the hanging pieces on each side in. Hold from the bottom where it dangles as s/he is holding both ears. This is also the middle of the sheet from the length. Fold the left over the right together and then you will give your ends to him/her. You should have a neat smaller rectangular shape to work with. Either fold it in half or fold it in 3 steps. Iron the top. Place it on a shelf.

(I hope you can understand this. It is pretty confusing to explain)

Slip your hand into 2 top corners of the sheet.

With one hand inside each of the top 2 corners, fold the sheet (right sides together). Slip each of the top corners into one of the bottom corners.

Lay sheet on bed or table. Arrange and fold the corners neatly. Turn in selvage edges enough to make 4 straight sides.

Fold in half, then in half again. (All four corners will be stacked together, and sheet will be in a long strip.

Then fold the long strip in half, then in half (or thirds, depending on the size of the sheet) again to make a square.
Sheet should be a compact, neat square.

Smooth and place on shelf.;)

It's hope less! What I do is fold the flat sheet and the fitted sheet as best I can and shove them both into the pillow case that goes with the set along with any other pillow cases. That way everything is together and you can just grab and go without having to search for anything in your linen closet. It looks nice and neat in your linen closet as well. Hope that's helpfull-
