I'm 25 now, but when I was 17, I pierced my own nose at home. Use ice to numb it and steralize the needle and the entire area. Prepare yourself, it's gonna hurt. Don't forget to keep it clean until it heals. See a doctor right away if it gets infected. Good luck!

ok, kiddo, piercing your belly is a lot different from piercing your lip - even folks who have it done at reputable parlors can develop an infection (hard to keep that area dry, not to mention the rubbing) - if an infection is untreated you can develop sepsis (blood infection) and that can take you out, so the least of your worries would be ticking off the folks
bound and determined? sterilize everything - your body, the tools you use and whatever device you insert into your skin - wash your hands in hot hot soapy water and wear sterile gloves - cover the area with sterile gauze after and check it every day for any blood or discharge and with clean hands, clean the area carefully - you gotta see a dr right away at the first sign of trouble - swelling, redness, discharge, fever
I'm no dr, but I am a parent - and believe it or not I used to be 13 - THIS is so NOT a good idea - think about this and talk to your folks - or another over-18 person if you don't get on with the folks - if you don't maim or kill yourself before you're an adult you can get all the piercings and tats you want then

Not too sound like a parent or anything but...
*My friend got hers peirced last month and her dad didn't know, and it was hard for her and her mom to keep the serect (he found out last week when he saw the cleaner stuff
*You really need cleaner to help it so it doesn't get infected
*You NEED to have someone who knows what they are doing do it.
*Parents know best (sorry, but it is true)
*Wait and see if you REALLY want to do it, you might look but 10 years from now and say, "I made a wrong decision, and I don't want my kids to follow in my footsteps."
*If you were a parent, would you want your kid getting her belly pierced.
*Since you are young, research it
*You don't have the right tools
*It might get infected, and then you will have to show your parents cus they will have to go to the docters and have it checked out,
Just think about it.
NEVER EVER EVER do it yourself. my friend peirced her ears when she was 9 and got in really big trouble.

Well, maybe it isn't the safest thing to do and I'm sorry, there is no safe way to do it! I'm just saying, be patient and wait until you're 18. It might get infected and your parents will need to help you.

there is no safe way. the only way i suggest you do so is if you buy a kit. don't use anything like sewing needles or safety pins, my friends made that bad choice.

I would just wait until you can get it professionally done. If you do it wrong then it can get infected. just listen to your parents for now I guess. you still young, you can wait

Why not? The Japanese have been doing it for centuries. They call it seppuku or hara kiri. Have fun!
