I would get a couple of the Jumbo packs. Just open one at a time that way if your little one grows out of them quicker than you have expected you can take one of them back and exchange for a size 1. My baby was 9 lbs when she was born and i had 5 packs of newborn diapers and she went through all but one of them.. Id rather be safe than sorry....

Well, if you just do the math, you can figure it out.
A newborn will eat every 2.5 -3 hours and a diaper change is usually necessary after each feeding. So thats 8 diapers roughly in 24 hours. Plus, some newborns tend to go in spurts (if you will) and poo alot, then it will taper off around 3 months or so. I would grab the jumbo pack. I know both huggies and pampers have a Newborn pack that has 40 diapers for around $9.50. Dont start out with size 1, they will be swimming in them. I have 4, 40count packs and that should last a few weeks atleast. If cost is a problem, if any of your friends or relatives ask if you need anything, kindly ask for diapers. They are expensive at first, but by the time they are 1ish, their "movements" get more on schedule so you arent changing diapers all day long. Good Luck!

Wool or fleece covers are good. i bypass on ebay and have found some fairly good wahm made covers. Etsy is likewise a good place to detect covers. I went with the pocket diapers for my final toddler yet I plan on sticking with the previous school prefolds with covers this time. i found the others basically did no longer delay, you certainly must be waiting to bathe them besides you elect with out worrying regarding the waterproofing coming off which you have on the fancier diapers like fuzzubunz. you will locate fairly good geared up diapers additionally. a good place to get ideas is a internet site referred to as Diaperpin. It has consumer comments on many of the favored alternatives and concepts on getting them sparkling. Oh yeah, and that i can't forget approximately the fasteners. Snappi fasteners are plenty greater effectual than the previous school diaper pins. you will locate greater cost-effective diapers in case you do no longer bypass with the call style. prefolds come at approximately 2 money slightly, And wool covers could be used often and nonetheless stay sparkling so which you in basic terms elect some. you besides would do no longer would desire to be so strict approximately it. I do have disposable diapers obtainable in basic terms for the 1st few months while he will bypass by such particularly some. are not getting discouraged via the a number of unfavorable comments. As you will see from the beneficial solutions right here there are various that effectively fabric diaper and are happy with it.

as a parent of 2 boys and going back down memory lane you can never have enough diapers baby wipes and butt cream
plus plenty of bibs for all that spitting up they do. so i would say go with the large packs. walmart sells a decent diaper called bupers.dont forget the baby bottles at least 2 four packs.also dont forget babys get into everything so get the plug caps for the outlets and the plastic ties to secure the doors below the sink.also what they say about the terrible twos its true it lasts until there 8.

It really depends on how big your baby is when its born, but my baby was 7lbs 13oz and we went through about 120 newborn size diapers before moving into size 1. The hospital will send you home with the remainder of of the package they give you in the hospital as well so that will give you a day or two worth when you first get home.

My son was little only 5 pounds 13 ounces so he stayed in newborn diapers a little longer than most. But it seems like they grow out of them at around 2 -2 1/2 months. But if you do get to many most stores are really good about just letting exchange for a bigger size if you need to.

Well, newborns poopy and pee pee about 10 diapers worth a day... So I would recommend getting a big box of newborn diapers to start off with. Each kid is different.

Good luck!

I'd get a large pack of New born diapers. You may not use them all if you end up having a medium or large baby, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

You can NEVER have too many. They go through them so quickly. I'd start off with two big packages and buy more as you need them. Look for coupons is my best advice. Good luck with your newbie.
