Get him a safe travel container and keep a damp wash cloth in there so he can cool down if he needs to. hopefully his ride will be warm so he can keep his temp up and if he gets warm he can chill on the wet washcloth. But he will be fine those couple hours not being submerged in water. He will need to be returned to a normal habitat as soon as possible so he don't get too stressed out.

Water isn't your main concern here, heat is. If you have a way to keep it about 75 degreese or hotter then you'll be fine. If you absolutely have to take it with you (moving) then it's fine but if you're going to a friend's house and want to bring it along, bad idea. It's not only bad for their temps but for their stress level too. They aren't the touchy feely moving around type of animals and being removed from their habitat causes great stress to them. If you absolutely have to, a couple of hours should be fine. Three hours would start to push it. I'd suggest a travel tank (they have 5 gallon ones with lids at Walmart for $5) to take it in. I use this when I take mine to the vet and when I moved.

Transport it in a 'travel box'- a plastic shoebox or similar box with a lid.

Punch some holes in it for ventilation, then put some damp paper towels or moss in it to keep the turtle comfortable. Heat control is the key issue. If you have a choice between a little cool or a little hot, choose a little cool- but try to keep it in the mid 70's.. Keep it out of direct sunlight.

a couple hours should be fine as long as you're not taking him somewhere really dry. my slider got out one night and was out for 10 hours before i found him. he was just fine.

they are in a position to stay to tell the tale even with the undeniable fact that it could be ultimate in case you're able to be able to desire to take them interior the cabin with you.. when you get by using protection see in case you will get somewhat water sufficient for atleast a centimeter of water on the backside of a plastic return and forth tank.. they wont shrivle up and die yet they could get dehyrdrated.. basically be optimistic to get them in water ASAP to ward off dehydration. i could attempt to locate a sitter nonetheless turtles love their water and could stay hydrated
