If you are looking for conservatives to justify their gullible acceptance of the machinations of this administration, and the neoconservative ideologues who formulate its policy, don’t hold your breath.
I find there are two categories of conservatives. The first variety, which you see mainly in Middle America, are those that are fooled by the propaganda spewed out by conservative “think tanks” that extol the virtues of blind patriotism, “family values”, and militancy. They aren’t analytical enough to parse through the rhetoric to see what a bunch of nonsense it all is.
The second variety of conservative is those sophisticated people who are in the know. They are highly educated and deeply connected the to upper echelon in the government and in the corporate sector. They don’t believe in any of the conservative platitudes that are spewed out by conservative pundits to sway the uncritical masses. They hold to their views simply because it profits them.
Both varieties of conservatives will not be inclined to justify their service to the insidious affairs of neocon movers and shakers. The former type of conservative is so disinclined to rational thinking and only motivated by an emotive need for security the conservative movement provides himi that he sees no need to engage in polemic to substantiate the validity of his point of view. The fact that it makes him feel good, distinguished -and most telling of all – the fact that it makes him feel superior to his fellow man is all that matters. The latter form of conservative is so corrupt by money and power, that he refuses to engage in conversation knowing that his views are morally bankrupt, and that a conversation on the matter will soon reveal his depravity.

What is this cabal? I do not think I am subservient to it because I have no idea what it is.
