Next face for Rushmore: The man who won the Cold War by both pretending to be stupid and making Thatcher his political partner: Ronald Reagan

Other candidates:

Dwight Eisenhower (who stopped us from losing the cold war! And also knew how to pretend to be stupid!)

Franklin D. Roosevelt (who moved the British stalemate against Hitler to a smashing triumph over worldwide fascism in 3 1/2 years)

Non-Americans... probably disqualified for that reason:

Winston Churchill (schemed and brainstormed against Hitler for years -- became Prime Minister as France fell, and achieved a stalemate against Hitler with no allies -- completely stopped the momentum of worldwide dictatorship alone from 1940-41 -- "The man of the century"). Churhill's mother was an American.

Nelson Mandela (imprisoned for 27 years, freed to become the first duly-elected South African President, carried out his office without bitterness or vengeance --!-- amazing wisdom and emotional maturity)

Margaret Thatcher (the geo-military brains behind winning the cold war -- ingeniusly wheedled the Low Countries into accepting upgraded intermediate range missles in 1983, which led to the Politboro selecting a younger, more flexible Soviet President, Mikhail Gorbachev, in 1985). Reagan's trusted partner, Thatcher has a first-rate mind. She was also a follower of Frederich von Hayek.

Why should there be another? There have been no recent Presidents that deserve such an honor.
