It is more than likely the alternator, or a loose belt, or if it is separate from the alternator, the regulator. Batteries do not usually regain a charge after a while for very long. Something is draining the battery, it sounds like, while you are driving. You may have a short in your ignition system. Take your alternator to Autozone, they will check it for you usually for free. I'd be willing to bet it is the alternator, or loose belt.
Good luck.
Stevo.

the 1st element you're able to desire to change is your mechanic. seems instead of making use of suited diagnostics he likes to easily throw factors and your money at it hoping that he would come by the genuine reason for the concern. My wager is that because of the fact the vehicle nonetheless has issues he has wasted your money via changing factors that have been nonetheless good. If the alternator makes use of an exterior voltage regulator this could be the concern. Or it would desire to be undesirable battery cables. Or as somebody else stated possibly a foul floor.

Check your ground connections and check the battery terminals to be sure they are clean. Use a voltmeter to see if the alternator is putting out voltage. It could also be your voltage regulator. good luck with it.
