I am very fascinated with politics and am thinking about majoring in political science....what sort of career would I be able to pursue with such a degree, besides being a politician?

If not into government, starting as an intern and eventually running for office, you can go into law or go into teaching. PoliSci is a fairly broad discipline allowing you to do just about whatever you want. You will probably have to get a Master's Degree in the discipline of your choice, though.

You could go to the Foreign Service (embassy work), could join a campaign to get someone elected and then get on his/her staff, could go in to law, could join a grass roots lobby group and work for that cause.
