I HATE them so much. . .

What do you guys do when you are unbelievably angry and sad? (besides the obvious, like cry). How do you feel better.

Just let it all out till you have no more to give. Then reflect on it, thinking of what advantages come out of this situation (there are always reason(s) why things happen) so i would try to discover that, and move on. *Hug*

When I'm sad I would... Listen to music, drive around .. literaly, go to book store like borders and ready magazines, go out with friends to dinner. When I'm angry I would.. Play video games, i really don't want to be driving/riding at that point. When I can't stop crying.. I would speak to a my b/f of or best friend. Talk about it, or just cry it off. Eventually the felling goes away.

I usually drive-- drive to nowhere in particular, just drive so I can cry and scream if I want and i don't have to worry about anyone noticing. Sometimes I go to a quiet place afterwards, like a park or a playground- as long as it's safe, of course - and think until I regain my composure and realize that whatever is making me so angry isn't going to kill me and I've survived much worse and been a better person for it, so unless they actually physically harm me (in which case they'd go to jail), no one can ever really hurt me. That empowers me and then I can go back and breathe again.

I sleep. That is the only time I am not stressed. But then again I have bad dreams sometimes. Honestly I am trying to deal with anxiety and depression right now too. And I cannot afford to go to a doctor or anything.

This is quoted directly from the preface of a comic book called "Johnny The Homicidal Maniac", by Jhonen Vasquez. This answer is quoted in verbatim from the Director's Cut of the comic book (an all-in-one story of the comics) and was written by Rob Schrab, in June of 1997. It may have some relevance here so, I hope it helps...

A girl I dated once said to me, "You only feel when you bleed." This must give you the impression that I was dating an Art School-Vampire. She was more like an acid-washed Molly Ringwald, but that doesn't matter. I fell in total lust with this woman because she told me what I had been thinking my entire life. Pain is a food. A food that is essential to the growth of one's soul.

Let's talk about violence, shall we? Violence in the media is an easy target. "If we get rid of all the violent movies, television shows and comic books, the world will be Utopian!" An easily believable answer. Just ask your mom.

Jhonen Vasquez has touched something important here. There's a little monster inside all of us, a little wolf-faced monkey that needs to be satiated. As people, we mustn't ignore that monster. If we do, we cheat ourselves. We deny an emotion, a feeling.

Think of someone who pissed you off. Some yutz who cut you off in traffic; a prick-as* Kinko's employee who took three hours to copy your resume; the big bully who spit in your face when you were eight. Now, in your head, relive that moment. This time, however, don't just stand there and take it. This time you've got a knife. Pull it out from behind your back and watch the status flip-flop. Suddenly, Mr. Kinko isn't so cocky. The playground bully is crying for his mother. Smell the fear. Then, kill them. Kill them like you see in the movies. Make it as horrible as possible. Release that monster and stab that knife deep into their face.

As humans, we are taught to forget that we are animals. Animals kill to survive and it's just as natural for us. To deny nature is to deny life. Now that you've committed murder in your dream world, relax. Take a deep breath, give your monster a high-five and put him away. You've just used an evil fantasy to keep you civilized and sane.

Some may call this irresponsible advice. They kid themselves that their moster doesn't exist. And when a person lies to themselves, there is less chance for spiritual growth. More than likely, their monster will step out of the Dreamworld and into the Realworld. That's how a society gets messy. Lots of neglected, hungry monsters.

Jonny The Homicidal Maniac gives our monster something to chew on. It's pain-food that wears its teeth down. Johnny represents Jhonen Vasquez's monster. Vasquez, and his fans, are all the stronger because of him.

I run or sleep to clear my head. Crying is something I'm not physically nor emotionally capable of stopping, so if I cry, I cry. Writing on a paper and pretend that I'm talking or writing to someone helps as well.

Dancing, exercising to release your anger. Talk to people you like or who appreciate you to gain balance. Focus your energy on doing what you like the most. You have only 100% energy within yourself. Once you spend most of your energy on the positive side, you will not have that much left for the negative side. Life will be better and you will be released.
