At the risk of offending anyone that owns a Burger Van, and no matter how tempting that smell of fried onions is after a belly full of beer, there is no way I have or will ever give them 10 times more than it cost for a piece of fat & grissle between an unbuttered bread bun garnished with a mixture of vinegar & tomato sauce served by someone who has spent half the day scratching their ar*e or picking their nose without a washbasin in sight. Still wouldn't make me throw up though.

No offence intended to any clean burger van owners

It is not the smell of the rancid grease or the burgers cooking which makes me hungry but the smell of the onions frying!

It's the Perfect Storm of grease and cooking burgers that makes me want one. And as enticing an aroma as it is, it would make an awful perfume. The wonders of nature, I suppose.

I only like the smell of cooking onions. But one thing the burger vans have got going for them, they smell better than the McDonalds battered flat patties.
