Did China buy the DJIA? No. They're referring to the US economy during Bush's 2 terms....which has been booming! Thanks for playing!

If they're pointing at the stock market, they're pointing at a leading indicator (and not a terribly dependable one) that is increasingly global in scope. So, no, not China's booming economy (though it is booming, having lots of development to catch up on will do that), it's anticipation of a booming /global/ economy that they're really talking about.
While that might be good for the US economy, there's no gaurantee.

No, it's the deflationary effect the West has been enjoying from having everything produced by incredibly cheap slave/prison and child labor in a country that is industrializing w. many times your population; it will end up effectively owning the world economy just as America used to 'effectively' own the Western hemisphere's economy after WW2. We have to hope they move to the left and become to some extent a liberal democracy w. controls on markets. It's largely out of our hands now.

By driving down the value of the dollar it has allowed for foreign countries to buy more and more US products. therefor the export economy is booming.

Umm maybe the economy is booming for others....but most people in college, middle class, poverty, upper class will agree they are not benefiting much from this. China's economy beats ours by a lot, oh thats right, we gave them all our jobs....
