I am going to my brother's 21st and it's a fancy dress with a film character theme. Have had a look on the net and found mainly the obvious like wonderwoman, supergirl etc. Any other ideas and any ideas for my 9 year old daughter?

I love the idea of the Adams Family one. and it's so easy to do. You just wear a black dress and black long wig etc. Have a look at the photo's in the links. All people dressing up as the adams family. It's really easy and it won't break the bank...
Alternatively you can be Cruella De Vil and your daughter can be a spotted puppy...

I had a think about Disney things but it's really strange... There aren't mother/daughter things in Disney. There's usually a single parent or no parent at all. Very weird...

I think the obvkous is Dorothy from the Wizard of OZ. But there is also any of the Shirley Temple roles, so many and all with tap shoes and curly hair.

How about Mrs Incredible and her daughter violet, this disney film would be quite easy to find costumes or you could get creative and make your own.

A dorothy costume is really easy to make (did that last year) red shoes, blue gingham skirt with a bib bit attached and plats!!
If she isn't too old a fairy costume (Barbie fairytopia)

zorro and the character catherine zeta jones played (should be kinda easy to do. you husband just needs to wear a black shirt and black trousers and a black bandana with holes cut in for the eyes, while you just need a long flowy skirt and a ruffled blouse and a couple of roses for your hair and red lipstick)
