is there any reading material out there about orimai (NOT diagrams or how-to).... but the history of it, the origin, first usage, etc (for a report)

General background: Earliest forms in China. Japan took it to new heights. It developed *separately* in the Middle Ages in Europe. In the 20th century there were quantum leaps in Japan, Europe/England, South America and North America (mostly USA). I've seen delightful new things on Russian-language websites too. It's not just an Oriental thing, never was, as long as paper has been available.

OMG!!! i'm not the only man or woman who loves origami!!! isn't it so interesting and funky! i will make: fowl (crane and chicken), boats, piano, folder, flower, bins, fortuneteller thingamobob, wheels, 3D triangle! (and extra...) have interesting, it really is my popular. such dissimilar possibilities.... make one thousand cranes and make a favor! ^_^
