What format are they in? Is it BMP, JPEG, or TIFF?

Most of the photo programs can do conversions between formats. Photosuite is a cheap one that can do a lot of conversions of formats using the "SAVE AS" feature. GIMP is a free download that also has a large "SAVE AS" feature. This week Staples has a 100% rebate on Microsoft Digital Image which is also good for SAVE AS (you can't beat free for a commercial program).

Actually while you have those other programs going you can forget PAINT and use their coloring capabilities that are superior.

First, why would you torture yourself by using paint? It's so... limited in a depressing way.

To make life easier & much more agreeable, download paint .net from:

http://www.getpaint.net/index2.html

You'll be glad you did.

Next, you can import your pictures by opening them in paint.net.

They have lots of tutorials available too. You can use the paintbrush to paint.

CHeers!
