It is sometimes true. It really depends on why you hated algebra:

- If you hated algebra because it required logical reasoning and symbolic manipulation, or because you had difficulty connecting the abstract symbolism of algebra to the real-world problems it is meant to model, or in general if the reason you hated algebra was because it was _hard_, then I'm afraid that you will utterly despise geometry.

- If you hated algebra because the exercises were repetitive, or because the amount of homework involved was great, or because it consisted partly or wholly of just solving problems without gaining any insight on mathematics, or in general if the reason you hated algebra was because it was _tedious_ or _boring_, then there's a fairly good chance that you will love geometry.

Honestly, I think it's absolutely true. Everybody I know that hated algebra did really well in geometry and Vice versa.
Personally, I liked algebra and did pretty well, but I hated geometry and nearly failed that class.

It was absolutely true for me. I did not like algebra, but I LOVED geometry. It is very logical and really appealed to me.
