Congress cooperated for 6 years by rubber stamping everything the Bush administration asked for. Democrats were elected by the people to put an end to the war and to restore some balance of power between the 2 branches. Consider who is holding the troops hostage: Bush who put them in harm's way and who didn't put enough money in the October budget to last for the fiscal year, Or members of Congress who want to end the war by exercising their power of the purse. Congress has legitimate power which derives from Article I of the Constitution and has no obligation to "cooperate" when Bush "has spoken and vetoed". The US chief executive does not have the power or status of a king or a dictator.

My hope is that Congress cooperates with Bush by sending him again the exact same bill which he vetoed. And for YOU, my friend, it's time you learned that Bush is president, not dictator.
