My friend and I have been having this disputue. I don't think it is possible but my friend claims it is. Is there anyone that can prove me wrong?

For those people that claim I want to trap my boyfriend, i am happily married with two children. I was actually asking as my friend and I were reading a internet article about a famous divorced couple, the female did it to the male as a prank for his birthday. I was saying to my friend that cannot be possible whereas she was saying there is a way around everything. The only solution I could logically come up with was to get a pregnant person to do the test, she says no. Before people slate others they should get there facts straight!!!! 9 times out of 10 there is a bigger picture, I just couldn't be bothered to write all that info and i didn't think there were small minded people out there.....

Jumping to conclusions from one little question, show some respect!
Its debatable how she did that, I'd agree with you. She probably got a pregnant friend to pee on the stick for her or maybe payed for one or stole one from a hospital bin or something bizzare like that. Strange article, I'll have to have a look!

The only way you could rig a pregnancy test to show a false positive for certain would be to get someone else who is pregnant to pee on it.
There are also a handful of diseases which will cause a false positive (see reference) and also one in about fifty will just be faulty in the first place.
Generally however the result of a pregnancy test done on a healthy woman will be accurate.

just wondering if the contraception pill is all about fooling our bodies into believing we are with child maybe hormones can alter a test

borrow some pregnant pee
test dectect a hormone that is only present in pregnancy

Bad bad girl!!!! don't do that!!! poor guy!!!! Anyway.... it's not possible to do that, unless someone who is pregnant do the test for you.
