Well, if you thrive on danger and excitement, you might visit Kings Cross late at night or Oxford street (Gay strip), Northern beaches are great any time, Cronulla beach (south Sydney) on a Sunday afternoon, Balmain on Saturday night (great pub life, bands, jazz, heavy metal etc) Paddington, if you like the arty farty set and scene, Newtown for a touch of Bohemia, Cabramatta for an Asian experience, or my place for sex, drugs & rock&roll, (just kidding)

Observatory Hill and the Rocks. A quiet, pleasant area with some great old pubs, museums, history and views. Have lunch at the Lord Nelson and try their home-brewed beer
The Botanic Gardens and Mrs Macquarie's Chair. Walk from the Bridge round Circular Quay to the Opera House and on through the gardens to Mrs Mac's Chair. Walk back to Macquarie St through the Domain.
Olympic Park
Centennial Park
Bicentennial Park
Bondi Beach
Ferry to Manly and Manly Beach
Rivercat to Parramatta
Sydney Explorer buses - get on and off where you like. They connect lots of places of interest.
Restaurants in Glebe and Newtown
Watch the Sydney Swans at the SCG in Australian Football or watch a Rugby League game at various venues.
Macquarie St - lots of history
North and South Head
Centrepoint Tower - the buffet is worth it for lunch in the revolving restaurant.
